Learning & Teaching International
Learning and Teaching International is a United States based international organization developed for and working towards the advancement of integrated applied practice, research, and teaching in the fields of educational and clinical psychology, developmental and school neuropsychology, learning disabilities and special education, brain-based learning and educationally applied principles of cognitive neuroscience, teaching and learning practice and pedagogy, higher education practice and policy, and educational program and curriculum development .
LTI missions and activities include educational and clinical program development and implementation (regional, state, and national levels), and development and presentation of professional training programs across educational, clinical, and medical disciplines.

Under the leadership of Dr. Frank E. Vargo, the Learning & Teaching International organization and the affiliate Fireside Center for Psychological and Educational Services clinic maintain a partnership with the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the UMass Medical School’s Disability Evaluation Services , in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance , to perform disability determinations for recipients of the department’s TANF program, the Transitional Aid to Families With Dependent Children .
The University of Massachusetts Medical School Learning Disability Assessment Program, in conjunction with the Learning & Teaching International organization and the Fireside Center Clinic help to provide services to individuals in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts who qualify for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and who may have undiagnosed learning disabilities that may impact on capacities to obtain work and retain employment.
